2019年3月至4月，我校学子以团支部为单位，走出校园，积极开展各类特色志愿服务活动。有的支部来到湘江边，为“母亲河”测水质，除垃圾；有的支部来到岳麓山，人人争当“山林卫士”；还有的支部前往孤儿院、特殊学校、“脑瘫村”等地用自己的陪伴与关怀去温暖哪些需要帮助的人。附中学子的爱心与热情不仅充盈了校园，也赢得了良好的社会评价，受到了多家媒体的关注与报道。
